Below you’ll find a list of personal belongings that you should bring when you visit Eco-Libre.
We recommend that you bring only one backpack (40L to 90L capacity, with an aluminum frame). If you can’t fit something into your one backpack, then leave the less important items at home.

- 🖴 External Storage Drive (with >= 500 GB of free space) *
- 🔌 Electrical Adapter for IEC 60906-2 Plugs
- ✒️ Notebook and pen
- 🏕️ Tent with no-see-um netting (<= 0.5 mm holes) *
- 🛏️ Sleeping Pad *
- 🛏️ Sleeping Bag *
- 🛏️ Thin/quick-dry Sleeping Bag Liner *
- 🔇 Earplugs
- 🪥 Basic toiletries (soap, deodorant, talc, sunscreen, toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, scissors, etc)
- 💊 Vitamin B12 *
- 🚿 Thin/quick-dry towel *
- ⚕️ Basic medkit (paper tape, antibiotic ointment, gauze, tweezers, anti-histamine, anti-diarrhea)
- ☀️ Sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat
- 🚰 Water bottle, canteen, or mug
- 💵 Ecuador uses the US Dollar. Most shops only accept cash.
- 💳 Debit Card. Most towns do have ATMs.
- 📕 Spanish-English Dictionary
- 🩸 (if you menstruate) washable menstrual pads or cups *

- Cars
- Fossil Fuels
- One-time-use bottles, cups, cutlery, towels, batteries, decorations, etc
- One-time-use menstrual products
- One-time-use diapers
- Illegal drugs
- Cigarettes
- Dead animals or animal byproducts
